The Nimbu Chicken & Pilau Rice Dinner Kit is a light, fresh and succulent dish pairing, perfect for BBQs and Summer Lunches.
The Nimbu Chicken (meaning Lemon Chicken) is a rub, which makes the most delicious chicken, that is tender, and citrus in taste without being sharp! Pilau Rice is a fragrant rice, with saffron and freshly ground spices.
Each sachet serves 4 people. Method instructions come through via email, after purchase.

The method instructions are auto-sent after every purchase has completed.This has the fresh ingredients that you need to purchase, and how to cook your dishes.
The only time this does not happen is when a purchaser’s email is blocked by the system, and marked as ‘transactional emails only’. This means that after purchase, we are not permitted to email you via the automated system. Please make sure you do subscribe to our newsletter, just then wait for your instructions to be emailed, and when you have everything, there is an ‘unsubscribe’ option at the bottom of each email.
How do I know what to do with the meal sachets?
You receive e-instructions for the meal sachets. These tell you:
- How long prep and cooking takes
- The ingredients list
- The step-by-step method instructions
- What to do if you only want to cook or eat 1 or 2 portions at a time

The spices and dried ingredients, and fresh ingredients needed are all:
- Gluten free
- Wheat free
- Egg free
- Nut free
- Dairy-free – only if you swap out the ghee for sunflower oil
What fresh ingredients do I need?
Lemon, chicken, ghee.
Storage & shelf life
Store the dinner kit in pantry-like conditions, a cool dark cupboard. Do not choose a cupboard that is next to your oven or an appliance that gives off heat, or a part of your kitchen where the sun shines on it.
The ‘best before’ dates on our products are always 6-12 months. There are no ‘use by’ dates, as we do not include anything perishable. Leaving you to add fresh ingredients gives you the best value and freedom to choose when to cook your dinner kit. This ensures no food waste.
